Calle Jarnkrok is heading home.
The longtime NHL forward signed a three-year deal with Brynas IF of the Swedish Hockey League, the team announced on Monday.
Brynas plays out of Gävle, which is Jarnkrok's hometown.
Jarnkrok, 34, played 13 seasons in the NHL, including the last four with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In 56 games last season, he put up six goals and two assists as Toronto missed the post-season.
Over 774 career NHL appearances also with the Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken and Calgary Flames, Jarnkrok registered 143 goals and 173 assists, often serving as a bottom-six offensive threat and penalty killer.
Brynas placed sixth in the SHL last season before losing in the quarterfinals.
