The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Owen Beck to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The agreement will see Beck earn $775,000 at the NHL level in 2022-23, $835,000 in 2023-24 and $855,000 in 2024-25.

The contract, which also contains signing bonuses of $95,000 per year, will pay Beck $82,500 per season at the AHL level.

The 18-year-old Beck had 21 goals and 30 assists in 68 games with the OHL's Mississauga Steelheads last season.

The native of Port Hope, Ont. also won the Bobby Smith Trophy as the OHL's Scholastic Player of the Year.

The Canadiens picked Beck in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.
