The Calgary Flames will start AHL standout Dustin Wolf between the pipes for Saturday's matchup with the Ottawa Senators, head coach Ryan Huska confirmed.
Wolf backed up Dan Vladar in Friday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs with regular starter Jackob Markstrom listed as day to day.
The Gilroy, Calif., native made his NHL debut for the Flames last season when he made 23 saves in a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.
Wolf is one of the top goaltender prospects in the league, and led the AHL in most of the main goalie categories last season. In 53 games for the Calgary Wranglers in 2022-23, Wolf had a 2.08 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and seven shutouts, all of which led the league.
You can watch Wolf make his second-career start against the Senators live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 7 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. MT.
