Calgary Flames defenceman Michael Stone didn’t practise Tuesday due to COVID-19 protocols, the team announced.
Stone hasn’t yet been ruled out of the Flames’ opener Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
The 31-year-old has played his last five seasons with the Flames. In 2020-21, he put up four points in 21 games.
Originally from Winnipeg, Stone is heading into his 11th NHL season after beginning his career with the Phoenix (now Arizona) Coyotes in 2011-12.
