Zayne Parekh is back up in the big leagues.
The 19-year-old defenceman was recalled by the Calgary Flames from the AHL Wranglers, the team announced Saturday.
Over his recent conditioning stint in the AHL, Parekh had five points over four games with the Wranglers.
Parekh has played 11 games for the Flames this season, recording one assist. He scored his first NHL goal in his lone game of the 2024-25 season.
Calgary's ninth overall pick in 2024, Parekh was a star on Canada's World Junior squad earlier this month, setting a national record for points by a defenceman at the tournament (5 goals, 8 assists).
Parekh has not suited up for the Flames since Nov. 17 against Chicago.
Calgary hosted San Jose on Saturday afternoon, but Parekh will be eligible to return to the lineup against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.
