Clark Bishop's debut with the Calgary Flames could be just around the corner.
The Flames recalled the St. John's native from the AHL's Calgary Wranglers ahead of Thursday's game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Bishop, the current captain of the Wranglers, has 16 goals and 17 assists in 39 AHL games this season.
The 28-year-old centre has one goal and seven assists in 47 career NHL games over four seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators.
He last played an NHL game during the 2021-22 season when he appeared in nine games with the Sens.
