The Calgary Flames are bringing in some forward depth.
Calgary has recalled left winger Dryden Hunt from the AHL Calgary Wranglers, the team announced on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Hunt has only played two games for the Flames this season, recording no points. Hunt has played 35 games with the Flames over three seasons, scoring three goals and eight assists.
Hunt has recorded 31 points in just 26 games for the Wranglers this season (11 goals and 20 assists), which is tied for second-most on the team with Martin Frk, who has played 12 more games.
Undrafted in 2016, Hunt has played for the Florida Panthers, Arizona Coyotes, New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, and Toronto Maple Leafs before joining Calgary. He has 18 goals and 36 assists in 237 NHL games.
The Flames (19-23-4) sit seventh in the Pacific Division. They take on the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday at 8:30 p.m ET / 5:30 p.m. PT. You can catch the game on Sportsnet or stream on Sportsnet+.
