Samuel Honzek has been shut down for the remainder of the season.
The Calgary Flames forward underwent surgery and will be out for six months, Sportsnet's Eric Francis reported on Friday.
The winger was injured on Nov. 15 against the Winnipeg Jets after colliding with teammate Mikael Backlund and was listed as week-to-week shortly thereafter.
The 21-year-old has two goals and two assists in 18 games with the Flames this year. He spent the majority of last season in the AHL with the Calgary Wranglers, where he managed eight goals and 21 points in 52 games.
