The Calgary Flames have signed free-agent forward Brad Richardson to a one-year, $800,000 contract, the team announced Wednesday.
A fifth-round draft pick back in 2003, Richardson has enjoyed a 16-season NHL career that's included stops with the Avalanche, Canucks, Coyotes and Predators. He was also a member of the Stanley Cup-winning Los Angeles Kings team in 2012 alongside current Flames head coach Darryl Sutter.
Throughout his career, Richardson has scored 107 goals and added 139 assists.
