A two-way player is sticking around in Calgary.
The Flames signed forward Sam Morton to a one-year, two-way contract worth an $850,000, the team announced Thursday.
Morton has played only four NHL games over the last two seasons with Calgary, scoring one goal.
In 68 games with the AHL Wranglers last season, Morton tallied 17 goals and 21 assists.
The 26-year-old went undrafted, and played college hockey at Minnesota State University Mankato.
