As they say goodbye to the Scotiabank Saddledome, the Calgary Flames are bringing back one of the franchise's most iconic looks.
Calgary announced during the first intermission of Tuesday's pre-season game against the Vancouver Canucks that its 2004 jerseys will return for the 2026-27 season as a special alternate uniform.
The Flames wore the jerseys, featuring a black C and their "Blasty" alternate logo on the shoulders, from 2003 to 2007, most notably advancing to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2004 before falling to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Calgary will wear the jerseys in four home games throughout the 2026-27 season in contests against the four teams they faced during that 2004 run:
Saturday, Oct. 24, vs. Detroit
Saturday, Dec. 26, vs. Vancouver
Tuesday, Dec. 29, vs. San Jose
Saturday, Jan. 9, vs. Tampa Bay
The Flames also announced the rest of their jersey schedule for their 42 home games, with 29 contests in their traditional home sweaters and nine in the soon-to-be unveiled hometown remix uniforms.
Calgary will begin its final season at the Saddledome on Oct. 1 against the Seattle Kraken and close out its 43 years at the arena — barring any post-season action — on April 10 against the Canucks.
The Flames will then move across the street to Scotia Place for 2027-28.
