The Florida Panthers are continuing their streak of solid off-season acquisitions with another deal.
The Florida Panthers and general manager Bill Zito announced Friday that they have agreed to terms with forward Luke Kunin on a one-year contract. The financial terms of the deal were not announced.
The physical centreman has played nine seasons in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks and most recently, the Columbus Blue Jackets. Kunin has recorded 142 points (73 goals, 69 assists) across 434 regular-season games with an average ice time of 14:53.
Kunin was nominated for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy by the Sharks in 2023 and 2024 for his foundation work with the Luke Kunin T1D Fund and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The Chesterfield, Mo., native played with the San Jose Sharks for three seasons before being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in March 2025.
Kunin was selected by the Minnesota Wild 15th overall in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
