The Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars are swapping some solid American Hockey League players.
The Flyers have acquired defenceman Christian Kyrou in exchange for forward Samu Tuomaala, the team announced Thursday.
Kyrou, 22, is the brother of St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou.
Since being drafted 50th overall in 2022, the younger Kyrou has tallied 12 goals and 26 assists in 97 career games over three seasons with the Texas Stars — Dallas' AHL affiliate.
Tuomaala, 22, has also spent the last three years in the AHL, suiting up for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In 118 career games, he has 26 goals and 49 assists.
The Oulu, Finland, native was drafted 46th overall by the Flyers in 2021.
