Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux has not asked GM Chuck Fletcher for a trade, he told local reporters on Wednesday.
Claude Giroux meets with media in PHI: "I haven't talked to Chuck yet about (trade deadline). Right now, I'm committed to this team." Makes it very clear organization is very important to him, "It's been an honour to be a Flyer for this long."

"I haven't talked to Chuck yet about (trade deadline). Right now, I'm committed to this team," he said. "It's been an honour to be a Flyer for this long."
Giroux, 34, has long been rumoured to be on his way out of town. Rumoured destinations have included the Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers, both serious contenders who would get a boost from the veteran centre. But the comments by the Hearst, Ont., native appear to have shot down the speculation that he has asked for a trade.
As @JeffMarek mentioned today, Giroux is 12 games from 1,000 as a Flyer -- could be March 17 at home vs NASH. Can see it being very meaningful to him.
