Flyers ink blue-liner Derrick Pouliot to one-year contract

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenceman Derrick Pouliot to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000.

Pouliot, 26, spent last season with the St. Louis Blues organization, skating in two NHL games with the team. In 58 AHL contests with the San Antonio Rampage, he scored seven goals and 39 points to go along with 34 penalty minutes.

An eighth-overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins, the veteran of six seasons has eight goals and 48 points in 202 career NHL games with the Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Blues.
