The Philadelphia Flyers will open their second-round series without Owen Tippett.
The team announced ahead of Saturday's Game 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes that the forward will not be in the lineup and is considered day-to-day with an injury.
In his first six games of the playoffs, during the Flyers' first-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tippett posted one goal and one assist.
The 27-year-old from Peterborough, Ont., recorded 51 points (28 goals and 23 assists) in 81 games.
