The Philadelphia Flyers have placed goaltender Carter Hart on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury, the team announced Wednesday.
Initially, the Flyers were worried Hart suffered a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet collision with Carolina Hurricanes center Seth Jarvis on Friday.
Hart participated in practice on Tuesday but will not play against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.
The 24-year-old Hart has a 10-11-6 record this season with a 2.89 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.
Philadelphia also announced they have recalled forward Olle Lycksell from Lehigh Valley of the AHL and have placed forward Max Willman on waivers.
