The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Owen Tippett to a two-year, $3-million contract.

Tippett was a key piece in the trade that sent Claude Giroux to the Florida Panthers.

The contract will pay Tippett $1.25 million next season and $1.75 million in 2023-24, Puck Pedia reports. When the contract expires he will be an RFA with arbitration eligibility.

He skated in 21 games with the Flyers after the trade, scoring four goals and seven points. He had 10 goals and 21 points in 63 total NHL games last season.

He has 18 goals and 40 points in 115 NHL games over parts of three seasons.

The Panthers originally selected Tippett with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
