Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes will not dress Saturday against the New York Rangers.
Hayes leads the team with 29 points (nine goals and 20 assists) in 31 games this season.
Following the morning skate, head coach John Tortorella did not explain why Hayes would be scratched.
The Flyers (10-14-7) are second-last in the Eastern Conference and snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday. Hayes was benched during the third period of the contest.
Kieffer Bellows was recalled from the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms and will be in the lineup.
Defenceman Tony DeAngelo, who missed four games due to the death of his grandmother, will also return.
Meanwhile, Tortorella said forward Lukas Sedlak has left the team due to personal reasons. Sedlak, 29, had three goals and five assists in 27 games with the Flyers after he was claimed off waivers from the Colorado Avalanche on Oct. 19.
