There was a New Year's Eve one-for-one swap in Pennsylvania.
The Philadelphia Flyers sent defenceman Egor Zamula to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for centre Philip Tomasino, the two teams announced Wednesday.
Zamula, 25, played 13 games for the Flyers this season, registering one assist. In three games for the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he has two assists.
Tomasino, meanwhile, saw nine games of NHL action this season with the Penguins where he had two assists.
He's a point-per-game player with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, netting five goals and 10 assists in 14 games.
