After falling out of favour with the Philadelphia Flyers this season, Nicolas Deslauriers has found a new home.
The veteran forward has been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, the teams announced Friday.
The Flyers will receive a conditional seventh-round pick in return.
Desauriers, 35, has had a slow season in his fourth year with the Flyers, tallying only one assist in 24 games while playing an average of 8:05 on ice per night.
A career enforcer, the Lasalle, Que., native has still managed to record 86 hits this season in his limited play time.
Drafted 84th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2009, Deslauriers has 53 goals and 52 assists in 701 career games split between the Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild and Flyers.
