The Vegas Golden Knights have avoided arbitration with depth forward Brett Howden by agreeing to a new two-year, $3.8-million contract.
The contract has an average annual value of $1.9 million.
Howden, 25, had 13 points in 54 games last season and added 10 more points in 22 playoff games to help the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup.
He has appeared in 279 games over five NHL seasons with the Rangers and Golden Knights.
