The Golden Knights will be without their star centre on Sunday night.
The team announced ahead of their game against the Minnesota Wild that Jack Eichel will be out of the lineup due to illness.
Eichel, 28, leads the Golden Knights with 54 points (11 goals and 43 assists) in 42 games. Sunday will mark the first game he's missed this season.
Meanwhile, centre Nicolas Roy is slotting back into the lineup after being activated from injured reserve. He missed 11 games with an upper-body injury.
The 27-year-old has 13 points (six goals and seven assists) in 31 games this season.
