The Vegas Golden Knights did not stop at Mitch Marner.
Defenceman Jaycob Megna signed in Sin City on a two-year, $1.6 million deal, his agency said on Tuesday.
Megna, 32, played eight games for the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers last season without scoring a point. He appeared in 64 games for the team's AHL affiliate Charlotte Checkers, where he tallied two goals and 14 assists.
Over 193 career games with the Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Seattle Kraken, San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks, Megna has 27 points (four goals, 23 assists).
He was originally selected in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Draft by Anaheim.
The Golden Knights started the day by officially completing a sign-and-trade that brought Marner in from Toronto on an eight-year, $96 million deal.
