The Vegas Golden Knights will play Tuesday's game against St. Louis without their full regular coaching staff.

The Golden Knights will be isolating their coaching staff out of "an abundance of caution." Instead of Peter DeBoer, Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon will take over behind the bench, the team announced.

The Golden Knights are off to a 5-1-0 start to the season, good for first place in the West Division. Tuesday is the beginning of a two-game homestand against the Blues before the team heads to Arizona to play the San Jose Sharks next week.

McCrimmon, GM of the Golden Knights since 2019, has plenty of history as a coach. He led the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings from 1990-1992, again from 2004-2011, and from 2013-2016, winning the WHL championship in 2016.
