The Vegas Golden Knights will be short-handed against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.
Jack Eichel (illness) and Shea Theodore (upper-body injury) have been ruled out of the contest, head coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters.
Both are considered day-to-day, Cassidy added.
Eichel leads Vegas in scoring with 41 points in 31 games, and he has dished a team-high 29 assists.
Theodore has recorded 20 points in 31 games and sits at a plus-five on the season.
The Golden Knights sit second in the Pacific Division at 16-6-9. They are winners of six of their last seven games.
