Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has entered the NHL's COVID-19 protocol and will miss Thursday night's contest against the Montreal Canadiens, head coach Pete DeBoer confirmed.

Stone has 26 points in 23 games played this season. Defenceman Nicolas Hague is also in protocol.

The NHL is planning to test asymptomatic players and staff for COVID-19 less often after the All-Star break.
