The Vegas Golden Knights will have to keep pushing forward without their captain on Friday.
Mark Stone has been ruled out for Game 2 of the Western Conference Final against the Colorado Avalanche, Golden Knights coach John Tortorella told reporters.
Stone suffered an undisclosed injury in Game 3 of Vegas's second-round series against the Anaheim Ducks while backchecking on a power play midway through the first period. He left the ice favouring his left leg.
The 33-year-old forward recorded 28 goals and 45 assists in 60 regular-season games.
