The Vegas Golden Knights will be without one of their stars on Thursday.
Mitch Marner is unavailable to play against the St. Louis Blues due to a family matter, the team announced.
Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Marner and his wife are expecting the birth of their second child.
Marner has two goals and 10 assists in 11 games this season, his second with the Golden Knights.
With Marner out, Alexander Holtz is expected to draw into the lineup and make his season debut.
Holtz, 24, appeared in 28 games with Vegas last season, recording three goals and six assists.
The Golden Knights enter Thursday's contest first in the Pacific Division with an 8-3-0 record.
