Golden Knights' Pacioretty out up to 6 weeks with lower-body injury

Anze Kopitar scored a hat trick and totaled five points while Drew Doughty had a goal and three assists as the Los Angeles Kings veterans led them to a 6-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty could be out of action for up to six weeks, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Pacioretty sustained a lower-body injury during Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Los Angles Kings.

The 32-year-old scored twice and added an assist to lift Vegas to a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Kraken in their season opener Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's still no update on captain Mark Stone, who left Thursday's tilt during the second period.
