Despite being sidelined for much of the 2024-25 season with injury, Lukas Cormier is on his way back to Vegas.
The Golden Knights have signed the defenceman to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Cormier, 22, played in only 19 games at the AHL level last season with the Henderson Silver Knights and picked up nine assists.
He was held out for much of the beginning of the campaign with an undisclosed injury and made his season debut on March 1.
The native of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, N.B., was drafted by the Golden Knights 68th overall in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2023-24 season, suiting up for two games for Vegas and picking up one assist.
Over parts of three seasons at the AHL level, the five-foot-11 blue-liner has 14 goals and 50 assists in 139 games.
