The Vegas Golden Knights have liked what they've seen from one of their 2025 draft selections.
Right winger Alex Weiermair signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Golden Knights, the team announced Sunday.
The financial terms of the deal were not announced.
Weiermair, a sixth-round selection by Vegas, has enjoyed a productive second season in the WHL, tallying 32 goals and 43 assists in 57 games with the Portland Winterhawks. His 75 points are the 11th most in the WHL.
The 20-year-old finished with 21 goals and 25 assists in 41 regular-season games while adding 10 goals and 13 assists in 18 post-season games last year before being drafted by Vegas.
Prior to his time in the WHL, the Los Angeles, Calif., native played parts of two seasons with the University of Denver Pioneers, winning the NCAA Championship in 2024.
