Vegas Golden Knights forward Nolan Patrick celebrated his 23rd birthday Sunday by signing a two-year, $2.4 million contract with the club.

Patrick, who was a restricted free agent, was acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers on July 17 in a three-team trade that also involved the Nashville Predators.

The Winnipeg native has 30 goals and 40 assists in 197 games since he was drafted second overall by Philadelphia in 2017. Patrick scored four goals and added five assists in 52 games with the Flyers last season.
