Carolina Hurricanes players Warren Foegele, Jordan Martinook, Jaccob Slavin and Teuvo Teravainen were placed on the NHL's COVID Protocol list on Tuesday. They join captain Jordan Staal, who was added to the list on Friday.

The Hurricanes' game against the Nashville Predators in Nashville on Tuesday was postponed earlier in the day. The team is next scheduled to play on Thursday at home against the Florida Panthers.

According to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, since the Hurricanes were on the road, NHL protocols "require any individuals with confirmed positive tests while travelling to stay behind and observe a 10-day isolation period at the team hotel."

The Predators are, ironically, scheduled to visit the Dallas Stars on Friday for the Stars' delayed season opener due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the team.
