The Carolina Hurricanes will be without an important player Wednesday as defenceman Jaccob Slavin will miss the game with a lower-body injury.
Jake Gardiner will replace Slavin in the lineup.
Slavin was injured late in the regular season but was able to play in Game 1. Head coach Rod Brind’Amour indicated Tuesday that Slavin will be a game-time decision “for a while.”
“It’s his decision,” Brind’Amour said, according to Michael Smith of Hurricanes.com. “If he doesn’t feel right, he’s going to let us know.”
You can watch the Hurricanes try to extend their series lead in Game 2 against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on FX and SN Now.
