Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook will return to the lineup in Game 5 against the New York Rangers after missing several games with a lower-body injury, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Martinook has not played since Game 3 of the first round matchup against the Boston Bruins, when his legs got tangled up with Taylor Hall at the mid-way point of the second period. He was able to skate to the bench on his own, but did not place any weight on his right ankle.

He is likely to slot in on the fourth line.

Martinook had six goals and tallied 15 points in 56 regular-season games for the Hurricanes. In 32 career playoff games, he has scored two goals and notched a total of 10 points.
