Carolina Hurricanes forward Taylor Hall is out week-to-week with an upper-body injury, head coach Rod Brind’Amour told reporters Friday.
Hall suffered the injury during Tuesday's game against the Washington Capitals. The 34-year-old left the Hurricanes bench during the second period but briefly took part in a power-play shift before immediately exiting back down the tunnel.
The former Hart Trophy winner was an integral part of Carolina's Cup run last season and had gotten off to a solid start in 2026-27. Hall entered Tuesday with three goals and two assists through seven appearances.
Forward Seth Jarvis is making progress toward returning to the lineup after undergoing shoulder surgery in the off-season.
Brind’Amour said Jarvis will travel with the team as the Hurricanes begin a five-game road trip. The coach is hopeful the forward will be able to make his season debut during the trip, although he has not yet been medically cleared to play.
