The Ottawa Senators have traded defenceman Braydon Coburn to the New York Islanders in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round draft pick.

Coburn, 36, has two assists in 16 games with the Senators this season. He was traded to Ottawa from the Tampa Bay Lightning with Cedric Paquette on Dec. 27, 2020. Coburn will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

Per Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, no salary was retained by Ottawa in this trade.

Earlier on Sunday, the Senators sent defenceman Mike Reilly to the Boston Bruins for a 2022 third-round pick.
