New York Islanders forward Josh Ho-Sang is among a large group of NHL players placed on waivers Sunday, per Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.
Joining Ho-Sang on waivers are notables like Calgary Flames goaltender Louis Domingue along with Adam Cracknell and Seth Griffith of the Edmonton Oilers.
Ho-Sang did not receive an invite to Islanders training camp. New York avoided arbitration with Ho-Sang after both sides agreed to a one-year deal paying the 28th-overall pick from the 2014 NHL Draft $700,000, or $225,000 at the AHL level.
The Flames signed Domingue to a one-year, two-way contract after spending last season with the New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Canucks. All the players placed on waivers Saturday cleared, including Michael Hutchinson, Joe Gambardella, Ben Harpur, Kasimir Kaskisuo and Michael McCarron.
