Jean-Gabriel Pageau is staying on Long Island.
The New York Islanders signed the forward to a three-year contract extension worth $14.55 million, the team announced Friday.
The deal carries an AAV of $4.85 million and will begin at the start of the 2026-27 season.
Pageau, 33, was set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, but will now remain with the Isles through the 2028-29 campaign.
A solid two-way centre for the Islanders, Pageau has tallied 14 goals and 15 assists in 55 games this season while adding 45 blocks and 81 hits in 15:28 average ice time per game.
Over his 14-year NHL career, the Ottawa native has 173 goals and 222 assists in 852 games split between the Senators and Islanders.
The Islanders originally acquired him from Ottawa in 2020 for a first, second and third-rounder.
