The Winnipeg Jets are getting a boost to their blue line.
Ahead of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Kings, the team announced that defenceman Dylan Samberg has been activated from injured reserve after he missed over a month with a broken foot.
Samberg broke his foot after blocking a slapshot from Nashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos in late November.
The Saginaw, Minn., native has been a breakout star for Winnipeg this season, totalling a plus-12, with three goals and 12 points in 20 games.
A left-shooting defenceman, Samberg is averaging a career-high 20:51 of ice time per game.
Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey, who left after suffering an injury against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, was also in the lineup Friday against the Kings.
