The Winnipeg Jets are going to be without their captain for quite a while.
Forward Adam Lowry has been listed as week-to-week with an upper-body injury, Jets head coach Scott Arniel told reporters Wednesday, per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.
The team later announced Lowry's placement on injured reserve retroactive to Jan. 20.
The 31-year-old left in the first period of the Jets' 5-2 loss to Utah HC on Monday and did not return.
Lowry has 11 goals and 26 points in 48 games this season.
The Jets hold the top spot in the Central division with a 31-14-3 record and will look to break a small two-game losing skid against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.
