Longtime Manitoba Moose head coach Pascal Vincent has been hired as an associate coach by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Vincent joins the bench alongside newly-appointed head coach Brad Larsen on a three-year deal.

The 49-year-old spent the past 10 years in the Winnipeg Jets organization, including the past five as the team's AHL head coach. He posted a 155-139-31 record over 325 games leading the Moose and won the AHL coach of the year award in the 2017-18 season.

Before joining the Moose Vincent was an assistant coach for five seasons with the Jets on staffs led by Claude Noel and Paul Maurice.

"Pascal is very highly thought of within the coaching community and a guy I identified right away as someone I thought would be a great addition to our club, so I'm excited to have him join our staff," said Larsen in a statement. "He is very smart, experienced and passionate about the game and beyond that, is just a tremendous person, and I'm really looking forward to working with him every day."
