The Winnipeg Jets have announced that the club assigned Brad Lambert to their AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.

An injury delayed Lambert's pre-season but the 2022 first-round pick scored in his Jets debut, a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre where he was drafted. Lambert played the following two games but failed to record a point.

The Jets also announced that they have waived Johnathan Kovacevic in order to send him to the Moose's pre-season camp.

The 25-year-old played most of last season in the AHL with the Moose scoring 11 goals and 19 assists in 62 games. With the Jets, Kovacevic played four games, picked up two penalty minutes and held a plus-1 differential.
