Pierre-Luc Dubois will not be in the lineup for the Winnipeg Jets‘ game on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators, according to head coach Paul Maurice.
Dubois, who left practice early Friday after “something tightened up on him,” has been listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Maurice had previously considered Dubois probable to play Saturday. After further examination, it was decided to sit him out.
With the 22-year-old unavailable, Kristian Vesalainen will return to the lineup. Winnipeg will roll with 11 forwards and seven defencemen, an approach that Maurice is not a fan of.
In his first two games with the Jets, Dubois has been held pointless while averaging 15:18 of ice time.
Live coverage of Saturday’s game between the Jets and Senators begins at 3 p.m. ET on Sportsnet.
