The Winnipeg Jets have selected Elias Salomonsson with 55th-overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Salomonsson, 17, hails from Skelleftea, Sweden. The two-way defenceman split his time between the Swedish under-20 league and the SHL with Skellefteå AIK.
With the under-20s, Salomonsson picked up 11 goals and 11 assists in 35 games along with one assists in two playoff games last season. The six-foot-one blueliner also had 10 games under the belt with AIK during the 2021-22 SHL season.
