Jets sign forward Evgeny Svechnikov to one-year, two-way deal

The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Evgeny Svechnikov to a one-year, two-way deal worth an average annual value of $750,000 in the NHL.

Svechnikov, 24, joined the Jets in training camp on a professional tryout.

The 19th-overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has produced five goals and seven assists in 41 games across four NHL seasons, spending the majority of his time with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. Last season, he put up eight points in 21 NHL games.
