Phillip Di Giuseppe is staying north of the border.
The Winnipeg Jets signed Di Giuseppe to a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday, which will pay the 31-year-old $775,000 at the NHL level and $450,000 in the AHL.
Di Giuseppe has spent the last three seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, cracking the lineup for 101 games and scoring 12 goals. In 2024-25 the left-shot winger scored one goal in 20 games while averaging 11:34 of ice time.
The six-foot Di Giuseppe also skated in 22 regular-season games with the Abbostford Canucks and helped Vancouver's AHL affiliate to a Calder Cup title. He scored six goals and dished out five assists over 24 games in Abbotsford's run through the playoffs.
A veteran of nine NHL seasons, the Toronto native has previously played with Carolina, Nashville, the New York Rangers and Vancouver.
In 302 career games, Di Giuseppe has 28 goals and 81 points.
Di Giuseppe was originally selected in the second round of the 2021 draft by the Hurricanes.
