Depth defenceman Justin Holl is joining the Detroit Red Wings on a three-year contract with a $3.4-million cap hit, the team announced Saturday.
The total value of the deal is $10.2 million. Holl, 31, has been a regular on the Toronto Maple Leafs blue line for each of the past four seasons.
Last season with the Maple Leafs, he had two goals and 18 points in 80 games.
