Former Edmonton Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Seattle Kraken on Sunday.
The 24-year-old scored 10 goals and totalled 25 points in 58 games last season.
The Oilers dealt Yamamoto to the Detroit Red Wings along with Klim Kostin for future considerations on June 29. Detroit subsequently bought out the remaining year and $3.1 million of Yamamoto's contract.
The 5-foot-8, 153-pound forward was a first-round pick of Edmonton in 2017, spending parts of the past six seasons with the team.
